My Week On Instagram #17

Happy Monday dear reader

I figured to share my highlights of the week rather than sharing my whole week. Let’s take a closer look…

IMG_2136On Tuesday I had one class of Spanish and afterwards, I returned the shorts I bought in H&M earlier that month. They weren’t the right size. Instead I bought a really flattering top in a minty color. I love it because I can combine it with a lot of other clothes I already have.

On Wednesday my boyfriend came over and he stayed the night. He could stay because on Thursday my weekend started already. The next day we studied together and it really worked out. I did a morning run while he made himself ready for the day and served breakfast in bed. I wish we could do this every day. That night, I had to work in the restaurant.

On Saturday, my mom and I went shopping. We never do this and after weeks of asking her to go shopping with me, she finally did it. I got a new jeans jacket and a pair of beautiful sandals. I think I haven’t worn sandals in years. I can’t get over them especially when I wear them in combination with a dress and my jeans jacket. I should ask my dad if he wants to take a picture when I wear an outfit like this.

IMG_2203In the afternoon I sneaked out of the house to have a gym session with my boyfriend. I’m still sore but I’m not complaining because my hard work pays off. I’m getting stronger every day. That night I worked again. Basically I worked three days in a row which is totally fine for me because I need the money. I’m saving so that I’ll have the best vacation ever.

On Sunday I went to Francis’ house to study. We studied the whole day and I did a lot for school. I’m even amazed myself.

Oh and to finish I’d like to share my awesome food/drink favorites of the week.

Have a great week you all!

Dear reader

I’m so sorry that I’m posting this on a Tuesday. Time goes by so fast and before you know, the week is over already.

On Thursday I met up with my dear friend, Febe who started a blog recently. I’ll link her below. We went to the Soup’r for lunch. In my opinion, they serve the best soup in Ghent. Beside soup, you can also opt for salads, sandwiches and even dessert. Febe went for a thai curry soup with pieces of chicken and peanuts and I had the Asparagus soup. I wish I knew the recipe.

After our lunch, we went to one of my favorite shops at the moment. It calls ‘Rituals’ and I love the concept. Most of the products are for your body but you can also buy make up, tea en a few home decor things. I had to buy a gift box for a friend of mine (Lore) who would give a surprise BBQ later that week. The shop-assistant asked if we needed any help and said that they had an amazing deal. All the skincare products were 2+1 which gave us the opportunity to buy an amazing present for Lore.

We spent like an hour in that shop because the girl started to test some products on our hands. Febe and I loved it so much that we bought 3 products for ourselves. I also really liked the fact that she gave us a lot of information about the products.

I bought the exfoliator, a product that you have to use twice a week to scrub off all the dead skin of your face. You have to be very gentle on your skin with the product because their are a lot of grains in it. The second product I bought was a toner. Basically you have to use this after you removed your make up to remove the excess make up. It gives your pores the chance to close up. Lastly, I bought the day cream. This was also the most expensive product but I knew, it would be a investment. I have been using these products for a week now and I seriously can’t complain. My skin looks great and I don’t have any pimples right now. The fact that I have been juicing lately, will also be a reason for that I think.

Ok, that description was waaay too long! Let’s move on…

After all the shopping, we were a little bit thirsty and we decided to have a drink. I went for my usual tea, lemon tea this time and Febe went for the freshly squeezed lemon juice. They gave her sugar to make it less sour and a little can of water. I had a taste and I found it so tasty that I tried to make my own lemonade at home. It was a success.

Afterwards, we went home again. I enjoy spending time with Febe. I always have a great time with her and she’s just a nice person to talk with. I feel comfortable and that’s a big thing for me because most of the time, I’m anxious to meet up with someone.

IMG_2111On Friday night I had to work but I didn’t mind because I really needed the money. On Saturday, I went for a 40 minutes run. That night, I picked up my boyfriend to go to the BBQ of Lore. She wanted to surprise her boyfriend, Francis’ best friend, for his birthday. His reaction was really cute because he had no idea. We all had the best time. I love parties like this : good music, delicious food, lovely people,… After dinner we decided to sit by the fire that the boys made in the garden. It was 2 am already when I finally got home.

IMG_2107On Sunday I had to go to a family party for my cousin’s communion. We barely see each other so it was nice to catch up.

Do you see your family a lot ?

My Week On Instagram #15

Spring break started this week. Actually, I have to study in these two weeks for my upcoming exams but I haven’t really done an effort yet. I really needed some relaxing time after my week with all the tests. This post will be a little bit messy because I can’t remember all the things that I have done this week. I’m sorry for that. Anyway, come take a look at my pictures of this week.

IMG_2054Remember that I wanted to make my own fruit popsicles. If yes, the first picture shows my first creation. It’s just kiwi, blended into a smoothie consistency, with chunks of pineapple. The popsicle itself was a bit of a fail though because I didn’t fill up the popsicle forms enough. However, they tasted delicious, sweet and sour.

A few days ago, I also bought a new sports bra. I was in need for a new one because my other one didn’t do its job anymore. Obviously, I didn’t take a picture of me wearing this bra. When I was in that store, I suddenly came across this adorable gym bag from Roxy. I bought it immediately because I knew it would look super cute with my running shoes and my H&M sports jacket in pink.

Another April goal was to do a lot of walks and that’s what I did the past few weeks. The weather is still great so I can’t complain or make excuses to not go for a walk.

The last picture is quite funny. No words needed.

IMG_2053On Thursday I went out eating sushi with friends that I hadn’t seen in a while. I loved it. In the beginning I was a little bit nervous because I’m not that into those meetings with a lot of people. I know that sounds weird but I always get a little bit anxious. I was hesitating to go but in the end, I was really happy that I did it because I had a lot of fun. I just love sushi. It’s my favorite.

IMG_2052

Omg, my boyfriend is the sweetest. He bought me this box from Rituals, full of beauty products. It was a late birthday gift and I’m so thankful. He knows me so well. I had a cream of this particular scent before and I was in love with it. He remembered this and bought me the whole set. So sweet!

The second picture shows a snack that I had a few days back. It’s a rice cracker topped with fresh pesto, Camembert, cherry tomatoes and basil. I love these savory snacks.

On Saturday, I went to a birthday party of two friends of mine. It was ok but I felt bad because everyone was so drunk and I wasn’t. I felt the outsider because I didn’t drink. It’s just that I don’t like alcohol.

IMG_2051My favorite picture of the week has to be the one with my boyfriend kissing me. That was also the most fun day (Wednesday) of the week. We went to the gym together and did an awesome work out. Then, we drove home to my house and took a shower. We lunched with my parents and talked a lot. Afterwards, we studied together for the whole afternoon in my garden. That evening, we went for dinner in my favorite restaurant. My family came along. I felt extremely happy and in love that day.

I know you haven’t seen my family yet but in this collage, you can see my dad and I acting crazy. I like those moments that we have fun together.

The last picture is a food picture because we all love food. It’s my mango breakfast parfait. The recipe is up on my blog. Be sure to check it out.

Did you have an extremely happy moment this week? If yes, tell me about it in the comments below.

IMG_1977

This week, I’ve did a lot of fun things. The only thing that wasn’t that fun were the tests I had to make. French and English went well, Spanish was difficult and Excel half and half.

After my Spanish Test, my boyfriend picked me up at my school. He has a roofless car which is pretty amazing. I think it’s very sexy to see him drive. Afterwards he stayed at my house for a while and we decided to study together.

In the next picture, you can see one of my favorite snacks : low-fat cream cheese with fruit and topped with nuts or sugar free granola. I like to keep it light so that I’m still hungry for dinner.

The last two pictures show an evening walk that I did earlier this week, one of my favorite activities to do lately. Look at that sunset, isn’t it beautiful?!

IMG_1978

It doesn’t happen often but every now and then, my boyfriend and I go to the gym together. In the beginning I always did my usual cardio stuff and he did weights and machines. Now, we do that last thing together. I can’t keep my eyes of him when he’s doing exercises. I’m just so proud of him and I know he is proud of me too.

On Friday, it was my birthday. Although I really don’t like birthdays, I celebrated it with my two friends, Febe and Hélène. We went to the mall and did some shopping. Afterwards we bought us a juice. Later that night, I went to my boyfriend’s football game. He didn’t win but he played very well though. Amber, one of the players’ girlfriend, accompagnied me.

In the third picture you can see the muffins I made for my birthday. They dissapointed a bit. You can find the reason why and the recipe here : https://goodfoodhappymood.wordpress.com/2014/04/05/spelt-rasberry-muffins/

In the last picture I am busy studying while my boyfriend is watching television and eating tortilla chips with salsa. He was like my moral support.

IMG_1979Let’s start with the picture of my outfit. I absolutely love it. I tucked in my sweater into my shorts and paired it with my white converse shoes. I finished the look with a set of three colorful bracelets. Oh and while I was making these pictures, I noticed that my calves were getting strong. Things like this make me happy! Hard work really does pay off.

I’m going to finish this post with the most exciting thing that happened this week. On Sunday, my cousin came over and we planned our ROADTRIP TO THE WEST COAST OF THE USA!!! Yes, we are going to travel for about 16 days. We will go to Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Joshua Tree, Page, Lake Powell, Zion National Park, Sequoia National Park, Yosemite National Park, San Francisco, Malibu,… I didn’t even summed up all the places. Of course, we will also visit my sisters who’s currently living in Redondo Beach, LA. I can’t wait to finally take off. It will be epic!

I love the watch he was wearing. It’s one of those wooden watches. Do you like it?

My Week On Instagram #13

This week has been slightly different on Instagram. I’m doing this 100 happy days challenge in which I have to upload one picture a day of something that makes me happy. It can be something stupid or funny or weird. It’s all up to you! I find this an extremely cool challenge because it makes you enjoy more things in life. Ok, you can’t get forced to be happy but it’s a nice way to do so. Let’s take a look at my pictures of the week.

IMG_1762I love Mondays. That may sound weird to you but to me, a new week is a new start full of new opportunities and chances.

IMG_1769Waking up with the sun makes me extremely happy. I’m an early bird and I love being productive as much as possible throughout the day.

IMG_1835On Thursday I’ve got personal training for one hour. I loved it! I was in need for some exercises with weights. I learned new ones with a balance board, a swiss ball and more… As you’ll know, I’m really into the weight training thing lately and I love challenging myself by doing difficult exercises. My trainer said that he saw a lot of muscle definition compared to when I started. I got a lot of other compliments too.

IMG_1836The weather in Belgium has been great which gave me the chance to go for a lot of walks. I love walking in nice places. It’s so relaxing and peaceful, especially when there aren’t a lot of people.

IMG_1786This was an awesome sandwich I made earlier this week. It’s prokorn bread with an avocado spread, tomato and salmon. I love the combination of the saltiness of the salmon, the sweetness of the cherry tomatoes and the creaminess of the avocado.

IMG_1815

I’ve been studying a lot this week because next week, I’ll have these very important tests for school.

IMG_1846Happy kids part 1! On Saturday, Claire and I went for a walk as a time-out between all the studying. We met Christophe on the go and talked for quite a bit. We had a lot of fun seeing each other back again.

IMG_1847

This has been my go-to outfit for the past week. Skinny Jeans from Abercrombie, white converse and my favorite ‘Meow’ sweater from Sincerely Jules. The sunglasses are from Fossil. I love these big dramatic sunnies.

I’m now going to start repeating my French vocabulary because tomorrow, there will be this huge test. Wish me luck!

IMG_1735

I’m going to start this post by saying that I’m incredibly sore. On Monday and Tuesday I did weight training which was a really good work out. Thursday I was sore already but I still did my usual bokwa class. On Saturday I wanted to run but I wasn’t able to do it so I decided to stay at home and do a 20 min abs work out. It was good though. Today, I’ve went walking with my little niece and dad for like an hour. Very relaxing!

The first food picture is one of my favorite food in the world : sushi! It had been a while since I had some and it was so tasty. Thanks mom for bringing! In the second food picture, you can see an absolutely delicious vegan cookie with cranberries and chocolate. It’s from the brand ‘Billy’s farm’. I loved the crumbly texture and the smell of cinnamon. I’m such a foodie; I love trying new products in my local bio shop.

Unlike last week, the weather hasn’t been that good. I has been colder and cloudy. However, Thursday was an amazing hot spring day. I studied outside and wore my favorite new pants and white converse. I have been obsessed with them lately.

Saturday, my boyfriend and I went shopping in the ‘Roermond Outlet Center’. He bought 2 pairs of shorts, one pair of pants, sunglasses, a jacket and a shirt. I didn’t buy anything myself but I didn’t mind because we had a great day together.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post. What did you do this week?

IMG_1618

Oh what a beautiful week has passed. I have a lot to update, well actually not really but I do have to say a few things.

The first picture is a ‘selfie’. I love my sunglasses from Fossil but now that I see the picture, I don’t really think it does any justice to them.

In the second picture you can see the dish that my sister made recently. She wanted to cook a summery salad for us. I found it very tasty. Normally we always eat around 12:15 pm but that day we ate at 14:00 pm. My sister always takes so much them for everything. Djeezz but okay, I enjoyed the dish which makes everything better.

This weekend, temperature has risen a lot. I mean, it’s like 18° out there. I decided to go running outside instead of doing a run on the treadmill. I enjoyed every minute of it. My dad accompanied me by bike because I needed some motivation. I hadn’t run for 2 weeks because I was too busy taking classes in the gym and doing weight training. Anyway, we did like a route of 30 minutes. I’m going to work up my time but for now, this was good.

The fourth picture is one of me laying in the sun while studying. Gosh, I have to study a lot now because in two weeks I’ll have these important tests. Pray for me!

Last picture can be linked to my March goals. I said that I wanted to eat sugar again sometimes but in moderation. I had a good week I suppose because I ate a few chocolates every now and then but then I could stop. Also, I haven’t had diet coke for 9 days now. I drink water, tea and sometimes coffee instead. My craving for diet coke stopped. Hopefully, I can keep carrying on with this.

My Week On Instagram #9

February is officially over but winter isn’t. It has been raining a lot this week but after rain comes sunshine so I’ll be thinking positive. This week I have been very active. I did things with my friends, went for a walk, did some grocery shopping,… Let’s start with my first Instaframe.IMG_1544

  • Currently, I have been loving oatmeal for breakfast. I love to sweeten it with stevia or sometimes even some raw sugar. I also need a ton of fruit and sometimes even some kind of skin yogurt.
  • Tuesday didn’t start in a good way. I went to school with my bike but suddenly my wheel broke. I called my dad and he put my bike in his car. Then, I took the bus to school and of course I was half an hour later than I should. Luckily, the teacher wasn’t mad at me. The day after, an old man repaired my bike and I got a new wheel.
  • Last week, I ordered shoes from Asos. Wednesday, they arrived. I got white Converse shoes and black heels. Sadly enough, the black heels didn’t fit so I have to return them.
  • Can you see the muscles in my legs? Gym is paying off and I think that results are my biggest motivation to go on with what I do. I love to be strong and to be able to have this control over my body.
  • The sun was popping out so I figured to make a short walk. Can you see the rain on the ground? Anyway, I love walking which seems weird but I think it’s very relaxing.
    IMG_1546
  • I’ve found out that my shorts I wear for my work outs are yoga shorts in fact. However, I love them. They are so comfortable and I can spread my legs without showing anything. I bought them at H&M and they were very cheap, like 10 euros.
  • My boyfriend was making selfies when I wasn’t in the same room. I love to discover pictures like this on my Iphone. Today, we are 1 year and a half together. ❤
  • My friend Febe and I had a lunch date at bagel bar, Jackies. She is new on WordPress and I would love it if you check her out. I’ll link her below.

IMG_1545Here are the best things I’ve eaten this week :

  1. A smoked salmon and cream cheese bagel with rucola and avocado at Jackies.
  2. I tried this 9 bar for the first time and I found it delicious. It looked a bit weird because of the seeds but I was very tasty.
  3. I made this pasta with shrimps, leeks and a buttery white wine sauce. The recipe was based on the one of Byron Talbott, a man who makes delicious dishes on Youtube.
  4. A double choc farmer cookie from the brand ‘Sondey’.
  5. Pizza funghi with artichokes. I had this on ‘Fat Friday’ with the girls of my school.

I hope you liked this rather long post. Be sure to check out my following post about my March Goals and my February Favorites.

My Week On Instagram #7

IMG_1386I’m a little bit late with this post. That’s because I worked the whole weekend. School started again and I’m not really happy with that. However, I do like the fact that my routine is coming back.

This post will be short though. In the first picture, you can see my little niece, Axelle. She’s playing the piano. The third picture is also with her. She came over Monday and in the weekend. She’s so cute.

On Tuesday, I had a bagel. It was so good but I didn’t take a picture of it. 😦 I had a New York classic bagel, I believe. There was smoked salmon on it and also cream cheese, mango chutney, luzerne, dried onions,… The place where I had it, called ‘Bar Jan Cremer’. Here’s a link to their website : http://barjancremer.be/?page_id=40

On Friday, Valentine’s day of course, there didn’t happen a lot. I had to bike through the pourring rain and didn’t had the chance to see my boyfriend because I had to work that night.

The last picture is one of my favorite breakfast lately. I just microvare 35 to 45gr of oatmeal blended with water. Then add some stevia and top it with some kind of healthy yoghurt and a lot of fruit. Mango is definitely my favorite.

Anyway, an awesome week has started. I can’t say a lot about it yet but Sunday, I’ll tell you more about it.

Love you all

My Week On Instagram #6

A fantastic week has passed. It was my last week of vacation and I enjoyed every minute of it. I went to Spa on Monday and Tuesday for a romantic trip with my boyfriend, Francis. You can read more about it in my previous post.

On Wednesday, I relaxed at my house. I was very tired to be honest and I didn’t do very much that day. The next day however was very busy.

IMG_1273[1]I ran 12k in 1 hour and less than 10 minutes. I enjoyed this run a lot because it was a big step for me to exceed my time of 1 hour. I ran 10,5k/h which is really good for me.

IMG_1293

After a good stretch, I went back to my house to shower. I then drove to ‘het Rode Kruis’. My friend Febe and her friend Jason arrived a little bit later. We were there to donate blood for the first time. We wanted to do this already for a while but since Febe wasn’t 18 yet, she couldn’t do it. Now that we’re both 18, time has finally come to do it. I was a little bit scared at first but it wasn’t painful or scary at all. At one point Febe turned very white which was really funny because she didn’t had a clue at all. She didn’t feel dizzy or weak. Her reaction was hilarious. The nurses immediately gave her a coke and she had to lay down for quite a bit.

10070_10203113323459134_1078750719_nAfter this funny situation, I drove to my boyfriend. We went skiing together in this indoor place at Terneuzen. It was really nice because I hadn’t skied in like … years?! I only fell one time, at the beginning. That’s good right?

On Friday, it was a leg day for me. I’m so soar right now.

IMG_1296Today (Saturday), I went shopping for my mom. She has had her second operation so she isn’t able to walk or to drive. We needed some groceries so I went to the supermarket because I looooooove doing that. I bought a bunch of fruit and vegetables, some turkey, tortilla chips that are supposed to be better for you, rice noodles and also these ‘spicy’ crips that you can see in the picture. They weren’t spicy at all to be honest. I loved the flavor so much that I had to take a picture of this for ‘My Week On Instagram’. Go buy them, Belgian people! They were only 0,79 euros.

So that was my week from Monday to Saturday. I now have to end this post because I have to go to my work in 30 minutes.
